Looks like Bioware are pretty determined to prove their commitment to Star Wars: The Old Republic.  Hot on the heals of their last major update and the release of their first expansion, Rise of the Hutt Cartel, they've already started revealing details of their next major patch, including a surprise new race, the Cathar.

Possibly not the one that most people were hoping for but it's great to get a new race of any sort.  If you're not familiar with the Cathar, they are a feline humanoid species.  Like most 'big cats' they are quick and powerful making excellent warriors.  If you are a SWTOR player, you may have already met a few of them (particularly if you've played a Tropper of Bounty Hunter) but you can be sure you'll be meeting a lot more soon.

To coincide with the introduction of the new race, Bioware are also bringing in new customisation booths that will allow players to change their appearance and/or race... although you can expect a cost involved if you're not a subscriber.
