It would seem that, since the Humble Origin Bundle was released, a lot of people are experiencing issues with Origin downloads either slowing to a crawl or freezing completely (I know I was)... well suffer no longer!

A number of the threads on the official forums have been answered explaining that you simply need a new configuration file for Origin.  To download and install the file, simply follow these steps:

- Shut down Origin
- Download https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/13328052/Paczki/EACore.ini and save it to your Desktop
- Restart Origin
- The client will detect the new config automatically and prompt you to approve it; say yes

 You'll now notice that it says it's a beta client in the top right and you should be able to download without issue.
