Payday 2 has been seeing quite an influx of players in recent months, particularly since during the Steam sale, and the game has certainly changed quite a lot since it's release with a number of extra (free) heists being released alongside some DLC weapon packs.

Not content to sit back and enjoy the extra players (and cash), Payday developers, Overkill, are running a "Crimefest" running up to the 18th of October to celebrate the third birthday of the Payday franchise with the hope of reaching 1.5 million people in their official Steam group.

For each milestone they reach on their way to that fabled 1.5 million, there are a number of rewards for the members.

So far they have already broken the 1 million mark and with it have unlocked brass knuckles, the golden AK47, the "judge" gun and money bundle weapon and only short distance away from unlocking the original Payday: The Heist for free!
