Bethesda's briefing is a pretty amazing opening act... so what did Microsoft have to offer for their Xbox briefing? "The best line-up in Xbox history" apparently...
Halo 5: Guardians
New footage for the title, including some multiplayer. Due for release on the 27th October this year
Forza Motorsport 6
Another year, another Forza. Due for release on the 15th September this year.
The Division
A new trailer showing off Ubisoft's awesome looking title.
Rise of the Tomb Raider
Some gameplay footage of the Xbox "exclusive". Due to arrive on the 10th of November (same time as Fallout 4?!?)
Gears of War: Ultimate Edition
Remastered version running at 1080p60 (allegedly) with a public beta starting... now!
Gears of War 4
It's not going to be here for a while, but at least it is now official!
Plants Vs Zombies: Garden Warfare 2
Arriving in Spring 2016, they showed off some gameplay.
Rare Replay
Finally those old classic Rare titles get to see the light of day again with Rare Replay. Thirty titles in one neat package arriving on the 4th of August.
Sea of Thieves
At last Rare get to do something! A multiplayer pirate game that is, sadly, an Xbox One exclusive.
Xbox 360 Backwards Compatibility
Yes, that's right, at long last Microsoft are making select Xbox 360 games playable on the Xbox One. Unlike Sony's solution, however, digitally owned 360 titles will simply appear in your library and if you own the disc-based version, it will simply just work! Amazing news, but is it too late?
There are 22 titles included so far with a lot more on the way:
Plus...
They also showed a number of up-coming Indie titles like Tacoma, Ion, Ashen and Cuphead. A new "Elite" controller. More titles joining EA Access. An early access program called "Xbox Game Preview" with demos for the awesome The Long Dark and Elite Dangerous already available.
And if that wasn't enough, Microsoft have also teamed up with Valve VR (as well as the already announced partnership with Oculus and their own Hololens) to make sure that Xbox One owners don't miss out on all that VR fun.
