The Bethesda showcase was on at an ungodly time in the UK but would it be worth staying up to see it?
Dishonored 2
This highly anticipated sequel showed up first and didn't fail to impress. Due for release on November 11th, you will get to play as either Emily Kaldwin or Corvo Attano, each with a different playstyle and powers.
Quake Champions
Not content with remaking Doom, ID software are brining Quake back. It'll be interesting to see how this will fit in with the Doom multiplayer (although maybe this is why Doom's multiplayer is so... Meh).
Elder Scrolls Legends
More details about the campaign for Bethesda's TCG.
Fallout 4
Fallout Contraptions, Vault-Tec (that allows you to create your own Vault!) and Nuka World (coming in August) were all showcased
Fallout Shelter
A big update is coming for this popular mobile game that includes dweller quests, new locations, enemies and characters... and it's coming to the PC in July!
Skyrim
To finish off Todd Howard's section of the showcase, they introduced Skyrim: Special Edition. Updated for the current consoles, including the ability to use mods, this brings the console versions (almost) up to date with the modded PC version. Due on the 28th of October, Bethesda also revealed a bit later that anyone that already owns the main game and all the DLC (or the Legendary Edition) will be upgraded to the new version for free.
Prey
Prey 2 isn't dead... but it is rather different and now called just "Prey". Arkane Studios finally reveal the future for the game. Details are pretty slim so far, but the reveal trailer certainly looks interesting (and traumatic). Set in 2032, set aboard a space station, overrun with aliens, where you are the subject of an failed experiment. Due for release in 2017.
Updates
Talks of free updates for Doom multiplayer, SnapMap and their first DLC. They also showed a trailer for the upcoming Dark Brotherhood DLC for Elder Scrolls Online. They also announced "One Tamriel" which introduced a system that automatically levels content in the world so that players of any level to explore any areas of the game without hitting any level barriers.
Bethesda VR
Pete Hines revealed that Fallout 4 will be released on the HTC Vive in 2017
All in all, not a bad showcase with Dishonored 2 and Prey being the stand-out features, but I'm glad I didn't lose sleep for it.
