E3 2014 - Day 1
Posted Jun 10, 08:55 am by Naiboss

It's that time of year again where all the major players (and some not-so-major players) get together to tell us just how amazing their next game is going to be!

Day 1 had press conferences from Microsoft, EA and Ubisoft with a number of announcements and videos:

Halo 5 - There was a brief CGI trailer showing the Master Chief manually 'piloting' a bomb into a large space ship and details of the multiplayer beta

Forza Horizon 2 - New video to show off their "dramatic" weather and a number of new features. Due for release on September 30th

Fable Legends - Had a live demonstration of their 4 v 1 multiplayer where one player plays the villian who can control the enemies and traps

Scalebound - New IP from Platinum Games (Vanquish and Bayonetta) where you appear to be a monster-fighting, dragon-riding, headphone-wearing 'dude' O.o

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare - New video with the news that the Xbox One will get a delayed exclusive for new maps

Dragon Age: Inquisition - New video and news that DLC content will hit Microsoft's consoles first

Tom Clancy's The Division - Another one with a new video and the news that DLC will reach Microsoft consoles before any others

Inside - The next game from Playdead (Limbo)

Crackdown 3 - Because taking down a bad guy by blowing up the building next to him with a fuel tanker is obviously the best way!

Phantom Dust - A "cult classic" returns?

Project Spark - Conker is set to return... sort of

Dance Central

Rise of the Tomb Raider

Sunset Overdrive - Crazy Xbox One exclusive about killing zombies

Mirror's Edge 2

Halo Master Chief Collection - Money for old rope? Apparently "We've not changed anything" is a selling point now?!

Star Wars Battlefront - The Star Wars game everyone needs... let's hope they do it right

Battlefield Hardline - A surprise Beta announcement broke Origin in a matter of minutes (possibly not the PR they were hoping for).  It was a great move, given all the leaks and trouble they've had; but it could have been smoother

Criterion - Working on a new, as yet unamed, 'racing' game involving helicopters, planes, ATVs, jet skis and cars (via Eurogamer)

Mass Effect 4 - A sneak peak at the next trip into Bioware's next trip into the Mass Effect universe

The Sims 4 - The Sims get even more 'intelligent'... how long before they take over the world?!

PGA Tour

NHL 15

Rainbow Six: Siege

Valiant Hearts

Assassin's Creed Unity - Stabbing with friends

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - February 24th 2015 can't come soon enough

Far Cry 4 - Another open-world 'crazy' hunt

Loads of great titles and it was good to see Microsoft focusing on games.  Shame about the platform exclusives which, in my opinion, only cause problems for the players.
