Dungeon Crawling Strikes Back!
Posted Mar 28, 11:58 am by Naiboss

If you are of a certain age (and I am) and were even remotely interested in games during the era of Atari STs and Amigas, you will have struggled not to have seen or heard about Dungeon Master.  One of the most incredible games of it's time, I lost more hours to it's dungeons that I care to recall, and as one of the best selling Atari ST games of all time it seems I wasn't alone.  The guys at Almost Human agree and have been spending their time trying to capture the spirit of the old dungeon crawlers in their new indie title, Legend of Grimrock.

From what they've shown so far, it's looking pretty amazing, and they've just annouced that it's now available for pre-order with a 20% discount.

Given that Dungeon Master spawned numerous clones such as Eye of the Beholder, Captive and (my personal favourite) Bloodwych, not to mention it's sequels Chaos Strikes Back and Dungeon Master II, it'll be interesting to see if this will bring this style of dungeon crawler back to the forefront... I certainly hope so.

Head over to the website, take a look and throw some money at them: http://www.grimrock.net/
