Friday night saw a large gathering of the gaming industry to see the BAFTA awards handed out with some interesting winners.
The biggest winner of the night was Portal 2 picking up three awards for design, story and best game!
Batman: Arkham City also did well, picking up the action award with Mark Hamill grabbing the performer award for his role as The Joker.
Even Battlefield 3 had something to celebrate (I'm pleased to say) with three awards of their own: online - multiplayer, audio achievement and the Game award after picking up over 230,000 votes!
Of course, it wouldn't be any sort of gaming event without Markus "Notch" Persson getting some recognition... in this instance to pick up a special award for his outstanding creative contribution to the industry, presented by no less than Ian Livingstone! Interestingly, his speech seemed shorter than his average Tweet ;-)
